Courses Available?

Hi All,

Anyone giving out free courses in S'gor for this Catfish breeding?
Would like to know how to breed this fellows.....
You must breed in order to have continues supply.

hi bro,

u wan course ah. did u try with selangor DOF(jabatan perikanan). if can approach head office in selangor. maybe they will help u abit. as i knw few indian people in breeding sector. mainly concer by chinese n malays. normaly less people will teach breeding. breeding fish is easy but ur costumer must trust ur product.

for an example. there is a case in penang tht a mlay guy do breeding. he sold to a farm nearly 500k fry. but wat happen is. all the fry cacat(neve grow above then 6 inch). but the farmer neve give up he keep the fish for 6 month but the result was the same. 6 inch only. atlast the farmer get loss in his invesment.

many catfish farmers will survey about the breeder fry status from others before do purchase order or they will buy abit for testing purpose. around 5-10k fry.
im nt telling bad about ths bisnes or blocking u from involve in this sector. just a advice.

anyway i try my level best to get notes on the catfish breeding asap. okva.

Im helping my indians to become siccessfull business man. about the cat fish course. its not the info u need to breed them you need the on hand experience
to breed them. im growing cat fish. its successfull. i didnt go for any course. i just bought 100 small fish first an tried breeding, but wut happend was 80% of them died. i didnt giveup. i bought another 100 fish. but this time 5 to i6 nch big.i gave them the palete food. everything was goin on fine, then i started my leech farm.
so i need more fish. i boght 2000 fish this time. since the palete food was expensive i created 1 type of food which was reasonable price with good result.
my fish are now fully in my speacial food plan. they are healthy and also fast growing.

i realy nt understand our bro question. did he wan to ternak or buat pembenihan?
i thought he wan do pembenihan. thty i reply so.okva
i bought 5k fry for 3inch size. till today just 50 died in record. i give them to eat boiled chicken. no usus n hati inside. i clean all of them n cutof some fat around the cicken to prevent oily. its seems the fish grow fast n fater. but only 1 problem the top water layer in pond will get oily. so u need to do overfolow to take out the oil from ur pond.

I actually want to do pembenihan....recently i went to a fish farm and saw the process. It was fun.

I called up the Fishery Department to get this information but they gave me a link which shows the schdule for the Catfish Course that is been done in Kedah.
So far away...hehe

its ok bro......i also attend course at kuala kangsar......penternakan ikan air tawar....(all in 1).....but nt pembenihan....or if u find dificult to go far i tink u can find any private company which provide catfish breeding course...normally they will charge around 1k.....nt sure...okva....

did u have experience in bela ikan(any fish)?
did u have experiance with catfish fry?

bro my advice is before u enter this field pls survey,involve n study properly..........breeding catfish seems to be easy bt the workmanship is quite hard....

im telling ths to u coz many of our indians makkals had start catfish farming bisnes.....with lack of info n experiance. at last end up with problems n lossess.
everyday many of them came n visit me to seek advice about the disease,food n how to manage a pond.....

the main ting in this bisnes is hardworking......u put alot of hardwork...then oni u will get a good result or income......

ok bro, here is my pond story.....

my pond size is 8(L)x10(p)x2(t).............i put 5k 3 inch fry......feed 3-4 times a day...
im working at a computer shop as a technician...normal 9am-6pm....
i wakeup n go to pond around 7am change pond water, clean filter n feed the fish....
then lunch time go bk hm feed the fish........
then by evening go to pond clean filter n feed the fish......
then by 8pm start to prepare food for the next day.........
then by 10pm change pond water n clean filter ...
by 12pm then oni go hm.......

this is my everday rutine.........so funny ah...no time for entertaiment or lepak wit frens.....coz my aim is less death rate....till today just 500 fry oni died.all coz of fighting.....nw left 4+++ fry....so at last..i can harvest atleast 500 -800 kg......its good enough for me.....bt ths is oni a try...for my second term i will put 10k fry in the pond.............so u must have a proper plan n schedual to do this bisnes.........then oni u can earn good income..okva..
